DC Analysis of CE/CC BJT Amplifier Calculator

Calculate the DC operating point parameters for a BJT amplifier with emitter resistance.

For Common Emitter: \( V_E = V_B – V_{BE},\ I_E = \frac{V_E}{R_E},\ V_C = V_{CC} – I_C R_C,\ V_{CE} = V_C – V_E \). For Common Collector: \( V_E = V_B – V_{BE},\ I_E = \frac{V_E}{R_E} \) (output ≈ \(V_E\)).

Step 1: Enter Circuit Parameters

e.g., 12 V

e.g., 2.7 V (set by bias network)

e.g., 1000 Ω

e.g., 4700 Ω

Typically ~0.7 V for silicon transistors

Common Emitter:
\( V_E = V_B – V_{BE} \)
\( I_E = \frac{V_E}{R_E} \)
\( V_C = V_{CC} – I_C \, R_C \) (with \( I_C \approx I_E \))
\( V_{CE} = V_C – V_E \)

Common Collector:
\( V_E = V_B – V_{BE} \)
\( I_E = \frac{V_E}{R_E} \)
Output ≈ \(V_E\)
