Q‑Score Calculator for Pairwise Comparison

Q‑Score Calculator for Pairwise Comparison

Enter the group means, sample sizes, and standard deviation. The Q‑Score is computed as: $$ Q = \frac{\text{Mean}_1 – \text{Mean}_2}{\text{SD} \times \sqrt{\frac{1}{n_1} + \frac{1}{n_2}}}. $$

* Ensure all values are positive and sample sizes are at least 1.

Step 1: Enter Parameters

Enter the pooled or within-group standard deviation (e.g., 10)

How It Works

The Q‑Score for a pairwise comparison is computed as:

$$ Q = \frac{\text{Mean}_1 – \text{Mean}_2}{\text{SD} \times \sqrt{\frac{1}{n_1} + \frac{1}{n_2}}} $$

where:

  • \(\text{Mean}_1\) and \(\text{Mean}_2\) are the group means
  • \(n_1\) and \(n_2\) are the sample sizes
  • \(\text{SD}\) is the standard deviation

Formula: \( Q = \frac{\text{Mean}_1 – \text{Mean}_2}{\text{SD} \times \sqrt{\frac{1}{n_1} + \frac{1}{n_2}}} \)
