This calculator estimates quantity only. Thickness, strength, reinforcement, exposure requirements, joints and mixture proportions must come from the project design or applicable requirements.

How to calculate concrete quantity

Formula and variables

Rectangular work uses length × width × depth. Round columns use π × radius² × height. Identical sections multiply the geometric volume.

Worked example: 12 ft by 10 ft slab, 4 in thick

One rectangular slab uses 5% allowance and a 0.25 yd³ supplier increment.
